Numeric grid: appended text box; two columns; minimum and maximum numeric
answer
This example demonstrates a numeric grid question. The question has two
columns. An appended 8-character text box gives instructions on the items to
enter. A range of acceptable numbers is determined by the Minimum and Maximum
Numeric Answer options on the Question Option screen.
- Click Select a Question Type>Answer Grid>Numeric Text Boxes
from the Question menu.
- On the Question Options screen, enter 8 as the width
of the text box.
- Enter the instructional text that appears next to the text box
in the Text to Append to Text Box field.
- If desired, enter a minimum and maximum numeric answer
to set a range for the numbers that may be entered into the numeric text
box, for example, 1 to 1000.
- Save the Option screen.
- Create your question text and your row and column labels using Set
Question Text and Set Answer Options. Click Add
Codes Ascending to assign values to the response options.
- Save your question.
